Lessons from Ishmael's Life:
- God's plans incorporate people's mistakes.
Although much of what happened throughout his life can't be blamed on him, Ishmael's actions show that he had become part of the problem and not the solution. He chose to live under his circumstances rather than above them.
Jesus Calling Gems:
"True dependence is not simply asking Me to bless what you have decided to do. It is coming to Me with an open mind and heart, inviting Me to plant My desires within you."
