Bible Reading: Genesis 4:1-5:32; 1 Chronicles 1:1-4;; Genesis 6:1-22
 
 
Lessons from Abel's Life:
  • God hears those who come to Him
  • God recognizes the innocent person and sooner or later punishes the guilty.
 
Lessons from Cain's Life:
  • Anger is not necessarily a sin but the actions motivated by anger can be sinful.
  • What we offer God must be from the heart-- the best we are and have.
  • The consequences of sin may last a lifetime.
  •  
Lessons from Noah's Life:
 
  • God is faithful to those who obey Him.
  • God does not always protect us from trouble, but cares for us in spite of it.
  • Obedience is a long term commitment.
  • We amy be faithful but our sinful nature always travels with us.

God seeks our surrender:
  • He loves us and desires our fellowship and worship.
  • He wants our service for Him to be effective and fruitful.
  • He waits for the freedom to bless us.
